Jasmín Tůma
8 Years on The Boat
Jasmín sees art as a means of expressing important thoughts and feelings; It is a surrealism that acknowledges the drawing of wood. The landscape, clouds, sky, but also the lake or sea are copied by the annual rings on the wood (bois) and thus acknowledge its drawing as true (avéré). It is actually the opposite of the so-called "Faux bois" when the structure of wood is artificially drawn on non-wooden surfaces.
