I decided on the name of the exhibition, namely "hafa ásýnd" Which means in short to take on a physical form, referring to the way I want to turn my own thoughts into visual images, something physical.

Through the metamorphosis of my own thoughts into the form of monsters, out of proportion to represent their weight and the oppressive feelings that encompass my entire being.
By creating paintings, I forget about the reality that surrounds me and embrace some peace of a world that only I know in such detail... but in the same time a part of that I can share with the rest of the world.
I wanted to write as a title for my works "Art is meant to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comforted", I think that is the ideal description of art.
I hope it brings you both comfort and disturb because it is the perfect antithesis that I want to portray.
